What is the Graduate Leadership Program?
Leadership development is a cornerstone of our organization. By providing our student members with practical leadership experience, we can better position ourselves as an innovator in developing LGBT+ talent. The Graduate Leadership Program is one way we are committed to developing LGBT+ talent.
The Graduate Leadership Program allows one LGBT+ graduate student or recent graduate who is interested in working in the capital markets to join the Board of Directors in a non-voting capacity. The selected Graduate Board Member will gain practical leadership training, experience, and exposure. Thy will act as a Member of the Board with a distinct focus on providing the Board and management team with university engagement guidance. They will have the same opportunities as board members to attend committee meetings, must work to promote the organization, and will have an opportunity to provide strategic input for the organization.
The requirements of the Graduate Board Member are:
- be a member of LGBT in Capital Markets
- identify as an LGBT+ or ally community member
- be in a graduate studies program at an accredited university OR have graduated within the previous 12 months
- have an interest in the capital markets
- able to commit 5 to 10 hours a month to LGBTCM
